FACILITY & GYM DESIGN
Spaces people can't wait to come back to.
A great facility has to do two things at once.
It has to work. And it has to make you feel something.
Every square foot has a cost. Every room has a purpose. Capacity, flow, equipment, technology and operations have to work on paper before materials, lighting, sound and detail bring the experience to life.
I don't start with equipment.
I start with the outcome.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Who will use it? How many at once? Why are they there? What do they want to become?
A private residence and a 100,000-square-foot health club shouldn't begin with the same answers.
The people, the purpose and the transformation. We're designing for everything that follows.
WHAT DOES THE SPACE NEED TO DO?
Every square foot has to earn its place.
How many people does it need to serve at its busiest hour? How much space does each experience require? What needs to be beside what? Where do people enter, move, gather, train, recover and leave?
Fitness. Wellness. Athletics. Studios. Recovery. Diagnostics. Treatment. Social spaces. Indoor and outdoor.
We work through capacity, adjacencies, circulation, sightlines, storage, equipment spacing and the operational realities that determine whether the facility actually works.
The floor plan isn't a drawing. It's the operating model in physical form.
HOW SHOULD IT FEEL?
Function and experience aren't separate.
The surfaces underfoot. Light at different times of day. Acoustics. Air. Temperature. Materials. Artwork. What you see when you arrive and how you naturally understand where to go next.
This is where facility design, interior design and hospitality meet.
The objective isn't simply to make a beautiful room.
It's to create a place people want to belong to.
WHAT BELONGS IN IT?
Equipment comes near the end. Brands come last.
I've trained on equipment for more than two decades and stood on the factory floors where much of it is built.
Every piece is selected for the person using it, the space it consumes and the job it needs to do.
BIOMECHANICS · RESISTANCE · ADJUSTABILITY · DURABILITY · DESIGN
Technology is treated the same way. It earns its place by improving the experience, the outcome or the operation.
No brand gets the room.
The best solution does.
THEN WE BUILD IT.
The concept becomes a plan. The plan becomes a space.
I work alongside architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors and manufacturers to carry the original idea through the thousands of decisions that determine what actually gets built.
Because a facility can look extraordinary and still function poorly.
And it can function perfectly and leave you feeling nothing.
Great design does both.
A private residence. A yacht. A hotel or resort. A wellness community. A commercial health club.
Different scale. Different user. Different outcome.
Same question: what does this space need to become?
For private clients, developers, hospitality groups, health club operators and wellness brands.
A great space still has to become a great business.
